Okaloosa County Airport (VPS), the main airport for the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area, is situated on Eglin Air Force Base and offers direct service to Atlanta & Cincinnati (Delta/Comair), Chicago (American Eagle), Dallas (American Eagle), Houston & Tampa (Continental/Gulfstream), Memphis (Northwest), and Charlotte (US Airways Express).

Pensacola Regional Airport (PNS), 60 miles west of Destin, offers direct flights to Atlanta (Delta, AirTrain), Chicago & Dallas (American Eagle, American Airlines), Houston (Continental, Continental Express), Tampa (Delta, Continental Connection), Orlando (Delta), Fort Lauderdale (Delta), Charlotte (US Airways, US Airways Express), Memphis and Detroit (Northwest Airlines).

Panama City-Bay County International Airport (PFN) is 60 miles east of Destin and is served by Delta Connection, Chautauqua Airlines, Freedom Airlines, US Airways and Northwest Airlines with direct flights to Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Orlando and Memphis.
