What is Coastal Vision 3000?

Coastal Vision 3000, founded in 2007 by Northwest Florida business and community leaders, is a regional, nonprofit organization created to promote international awareness of the area as a premier tourist destination. The key to Coastal Vision 3000’s success is our focus to bring together tourism and economic development entities and professionals from seven counties to work together as a greater whole. Our united front, created through the strong halo brand “THE Beach,” is a powerful, strategically driven tactic to promote and grow our emerging tourism market to its fullest potential.

What is THE Beach?

"THE Beach" is "THE" regional brand. In more specific terms, it is a consistent, regional identity for Northwest Florida. "THE Beach" creates a strong, colorful umbrella image to use as the cornerstone to promoting this region as a world-class tourist destination. Through a strategic marketing platform, THE Beach brand is positioned to represent some of the best accommodations, dining, golf, shopping, fishing, attractions, and eco-tourism activities in the nation.

Why was the name "THE Beach" chosen?

In looking at the seven counties and 227 miles of coastline that encompass Coastal Vision 3000, each has its own unique and outstanding features; however, they all have one thing in common: some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. While a variety of names were considered, including the “Emerald Coast,” which his trademarked by the Emerald Coast CVB, none were entirely unique to Northwest Florida. The beaches are our marketing backbone and the element that ties the region together.

What area of Northwest Florida is included in THE Beach?

THE Beach represents seven counties in Northwest Florida and 227 miles of coastline (100 miles of which contain public beaches), including, from west to east, Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Gulf and Franklin. Larger destinations located in these counties include Pensacola, Navarre, Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Beaches of South Walton, Panama City Beach, Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, Apalachicola and Carrabelle.

How does Coastal Vision 3000 differ from other tourism and economic-development organizations?

Coastal Vision 3000 is a regionalized effort to promote a unified brand. Through the halo brand, “THE Beach,” chambers, tourist development councils, economic development organizations and businesses, are able to work together to promote Northwest Florida, while still supporting their individual missions. Coastal Vision 3000 is a membership-based, initiative-driven organization that unifies the region in an effort to promote international tourism.

How is Coastal Vision 3000 funded?

Coastal Vision 3000 is a private, non-for-profit organization that operates strictly through membership fees and donations. The organization receives no public funding.
